Mary Magdalene Revealed by Meggan Watterson
I remember the first time I listened to the audiobook of Mary Magdalene Revealed I was running along the Lachine Canal (river in Montreal) and began to cry within listening to the first few pages. Not because the content was sad but because this book struck a chord so deep in my soul I was moved to the core by Megan’s words. Tears streaming down my face as I ran, I finally understood where my childhood rage in religion class came from, the deep injustice I felt but couldn’t explain. Mary Magdalene had never been a prostitute, half the story had been missing. The half that honoured the feminine, the heart, the human. The half that was mislabeled as shameful.
Mary Magdalene Revealed tells the story of the author’s journey to studying the lost gospel of Mary Magdalene. A touching, healing read that will connect you to the divine feminine and shine light on one of the most misunderstood women in history.
